QuaMaDi stands for quality in the Mamma diagnostics and is a model project for early cancer of the breast recognition with the help of the mammography under the line of the cash-medical combination Schleswig-Holstein and the patronage of the Ministry for work, social, health and consumer protection Schleswig-Holstein.

In the project many health insurance companies and other carriers take part.

QuaMaDi serves, like the name already says, the quality assurance during the cancer of the breast early recognition. The diagnostics with cancer of the breast suspicion is to be improved by a quality-secured diagnostic chain. The project sets thereby mainly on organizational improvements of the diagnosis, as for instance the four-eye principle, with which by two physicians independently on the basis the radiographs a diagnosis is always provided.

The project was started on 1 September 2003 in parts of Schleswig-Holstein, in the course of the first quarter 2005 is to be able to participate then all legally ill-insured women in Schleswig-Holstein.
